How to juice?

Juicing

What type of Juicer do I use?

The main two juicer types are the centrifugal juicer,  is one that spins very fast, it’s good for a quick juice drink, best to drink it right away, this type of juicer can break  down the enzymes, so is best to store/ keep in refrigerator, it’s best to get into the body right away.  The second type of  juicer is a cold pressed/ masticating juicer, This turns slow ….. In simple terms, it is literally squeezing/pressing your vegetables to get the juice out of it, Which is whole the enzymes are not broken down, your enzymes can hold for up to three days in the refrigerator, best to use Amber jars keep the light away from it, fill all the way to the top.  I personally have two juicers.  Both cold pressed, the Omega I find the easiest to set up and clean, let’s be honest, the easier it is, the more likely we are to use it.  But do be sure to consider juicing at least once a month!

Preperation

have a bowl set aside to pour your  juice in as you go, and have your jars and lids  cleaned and ready to fill.

Always cut off the dead ends and anything old on your produce, then always put it in a bath of either apple cider vinegar or Food Grade hydrogen peroxide, for about  five minutes, this helps to cleanse the produce of any unwanted living organisms. Put produce in a strainer, and let strain for a few minutes.

Benefits of  juicing greens

A. Possible health benefits

Via my Dr, just juicing ( extracting the fiber,  is a good way to get more dark leafy 🥬 greens and vegetables in a quick drink, feeds you at a cellular level without needed digestion.

B. Possible more energy

It takes less energy to digest, and it is raw/ living which is giving your body living energy 🙂 which it thrives on.

C. Possible nutrient dense meal replacement

Getting raw green nutrients into the cell …The Dr says “it’s feeding the cell nutrients and energy that are readily available (without fiber, just juice)

D. Can be a great Pre- workout drink.  (Whole vegetables with fiber:) I juice jicama, (high in potassium and fiber) mixed dark leafy greens (kale, spinach, arugula, collard and )

With fiber and some organic added vegetable protein powder, and a scoop of aminos 🙂 and I sometimes will even add a scoop of vitamin C and a Blend of  Spirulina /chlorella greens.

If your not having to avoid sugar, you can add a half of banana.

What is best to juice ?

I personally follow The blood type diet, eating right according to your blood type. Also food combining. (Research)

Example:

If you are Type “A” blood type your body could prefer the following, for a green vegetable drink:

  1. Spinach
  2. Celery
  3. Swiss chard
  4. Kale
  5. Collard greens
  6. Beat greens
  7. Carrot 🥕 (only 1 medium)
  8. a small amount of ginger and parsley.

Fruit drinks or smoothies

Be mindful instead of juicing, try blending,  using a vita mix or Nutra Bullet  blender etc. to keep the fiber in there, this slows down the glycemic level. Also best to stick with low glycemic berries , example: raspberries, Blueberries, blackberries, And maybe a few strawberries.  🙂

Most people don’t do well with Dairy, so instead of adding cream, yogurt, etc. I have people consider and try coconut cream or coconut milk, depending on your desire of creaminess :-).

We will soon be doing in depth Juicing classes, with a full PowerPoint presentations on juicing and blending.

As always this is not to diagnose, treat or prescribe, is for suggestive purposes only! Always check with your doctor and do your own research.
